West Hartford Community Life

Join us for fun, friendship, and community service in Westmoor Park's organic vegetable garden, dedicated to a nationwide program called "Plant-a-Row for the Hungry". Many hands are needed to make this program a success. The planting and work begins in late April and continues through October. Most of the vegetables grown are donated to local shelters. For more information on how to get involved, please call Westmoor Park at 561-8260. Groups are welcome to participate. This activity takes place on Mondays or Wednesdays, 9:00 - 12:00 noon

The residents of West Hartford have a community spirit that includes helping less-fortunate neighbors, participating in town events, volunteering in neighborhood organizations and town-appointed committees, and simply voicing opinions, and exchanging ideas and information.
