HARTFORD PLAN AND ZONING COMMISSION
PUBLIC NOTICE
The Town
of West Hartford Plan and Zoning Commission, also acting as the Inland
Wetlands and Watercourses Agency, at a Regular Meeting on May 7, 2001
took the following actions:
ALTERNATE
PARKING SCHEME DENIED WITHOUT PREJUDICE:

and 901 Farmington Avenue - Application of Attorney Michael
Reiner seeking approval of an alternate parking scheme under the
provisions of the West Hartford Code of Ordinances Section 177-32G.
A "mutual parking agreement" is being proposed between the West
Hartford Motor Inn and the newly renovated office building at 901
Farmington Avenue. Under the terms of the proposed agreement these
two properties would "time share" available parking on both sites.
(Submitted for TPZ review and possible decision on March 5, 2001;
rescheduled to March 12, 2001. Discussion and decision tabled to
April 2, 2001; further tabled to May 7, 2001.)

PERMIT PUBLIC HEARINGS AND DECISION CONTINUED TO JUNE 4, 2001:

Mountain Road - Application (IWW #695) of Worth Avenue Associates,
LLC, Record Owner, Michael Chaffin, project contact person, requesting
approval of an Inland Wetland and Watercourses Permit to conduct
certain regulated activities which may have an impact on a wetlands
and watercourse area. (Tumbledown Brook) The proposed regulated
activities include replacement of an existing bridge/brook crossing
with a new bridge/brook crossing; improvement of bridge approaches
within areas not designated as wetland soils; development of a non-wetland
soils area east of Tumbledown Brook within a regulated buffer area
with sixteen (16) residential luxury condominium dwelling units.
The residential units will be placed outside the mapped 100 year
flood plain. The existing access driveway will be replaced with
a new driveway. (Submitted for IWWA receipt on March 5, 2001; rescheduled
to March 12, 2001. Determined to be significant and scheduled for
a hearing on April 2, 2001; re-scheduled to May 7, 2001 at the applicant's
request..)
