Tax, Assessment & Town Clerk's Offices

Beginning July 11, the Tax, Assessment and Town Clerk's offices will be closed on Fridays permanently. Their new hours of operation are:

Summer Hours at West Hartford Libraries

West Hartford's three public libraries will be open the following hours through August 2008:

These new library hours reflect a reduction in the library's budget for the new fiscal year, and a concerted effort to impact the fewest number of people. At the end of the summer, the Faxon and Bishops Corner branches will return to full days on Saturday, 10:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m., while Friday closings will remain in place throughout the year. Outdoor Pool Schedule and Fee Changes

The Department of Human & Leisure Services has announced the following changes to the outdoor pools for the Summer of 2008. Beginning on July 2, 2008, nightly recreational swims will be available at two of the four facilities (**) Monday-Friday. Swim lesson schedule at all pools will remain as originally scheduled. Here is the recreational swim schedule.

The following rate changes have been adopted for the summer season:

Discount Card Fee: 10 Swims $25; 20 Swims: $40
