Bring with you:

1)
Your newly issued VIN report
2)
Your motor vehicle registration certificate
3)
Your out-of-state Certificate of Title. If your certificate is being held by a lien holder, a photocopy of the title will do.
4)
A completed "Application for Registration and Certificate of Title" (Form H-13)
5)
Your insurance identification card
6)
Your personal identification

Vehicles cannot be registered if delinquent property tax or parking tickets are owed, or if the registrant has had their registration privilege suspended.

To obtain a new driver's license, visit any DMV full service office, without an appointment and bring with you:

1)
Your out-of-state license, plus one acceptable form of identification. If your current license does not have a photograph or date of birth, bring your birth certificate and a recent photograph of yourself without a hat or dark glasses.
2)
Verification of your address (a utility bill, mortgage document, rental agreement, a postmarked letter to the new address)
3)
Your Social Security number.
4)
Money for the application fee ($36) and license fee (varies from $49.25 to $61.25, depending on the number of years the license will be valid).

A vision test will be taken to complete the process.

If your out-of-state license has expired for more than 60 days, you will be required to schedule an appointment and take all driver's examinations. If you lost your license, you need to obtain a letter of verification from your previous state of residence stating that you have a current license from that state. You must present the letter of verification and meet the requirements a stated above.
