Q: What if I received
a tax bill for real estate I no longer own?
A: Please
notify the tax office immediately at 561-7474.
Q: If I received
a tax bill for my property and my bank is responsible for making payment,
what should I do?
A:
Forward your bill to the bank. Then ask your bank to contact the tax office
to request that all future tax bills be sent directly to them. (Note:
Only one tax bill is sent; this means if you received the bill, your bank
did not).
Q: Are there tax
discounts for elderly residents?
A:
Yes, but income, age and other eligibility requirements must be met.
Call after February 1 for information: 561-7414.
Q: How can I
pay my tax bill?
A: You have five payment options.
Q: How is a receipt
obtained?
If mailing payment,
enclose entire bill with a self-addressed stamped envelope. A receipt
will be returned to you. If paying in person, bring entire bill with
you. The top portion of the bill will be receipted for you.
