Fire Chief William H. Austin serves as the Director of Emergency Management for the Town. The Town has an Emergency Operations Plan, which covers the coordination and use of resources during any type of natural or man-made disaster. All fire stations are available for secondary emergency shelter during hurricanes, storms, or any other natural disaster. The facilities are equipped with generators for heat and power and for communication purposes.
