THE BRIDGE FAMILY CENTER
The Bridge Family Center serves as the Youth Service Bureau for the Town of West Hartford and offers the following prevention and intervention services for children, youth, and families:
- Positive youth development groups
- Support groups
- West Hartford Teen Center for high school students
- Summer Adventure Program for middle school students
- Middle school dances
- School-based services in collaboration with school personnel
- Parenting / Family Programs
- Therapy for children, youth, and families through a licensed Outpatient Psychiatric Clinic for Children
- Psychiatric evaluations for children and adolescents
- Grandparents’ Wisdom Circle for grandparents raising grandchildren
- Family Resource Centers
- Various Parenting Workshops
- Bridge Youth Shelter – A 24-hour temporary shelter providing a safe, caring, and nurturing environment for 11- to 17-year-old adolescent girls in crisis.
