THE BRIDGE FAMILY CENTER
The Bridge Family Center serves as the Youth Service Bureau for the Town of West Hartford and offers the following prevention and intervention services for children, youth, and families:
- Positive youth development groups
- Support groups
- West Hartford Teen Center for high school students
- Bugbee Ropes Course
- Summer Adventure Program
- Middle school dances
- School-based services in collaboration with school personnel
- Parenting / Family Programs
- Therapy for children, families, and couples based on a sliding fee scale
- Psychiatric evaluations for children and adolescents
- Parenting Through Swimming
- Adult Learn to Swim
- Living with 10- to 15-Year-Olds
- Grandparents’ Wisdom Circle
- Parent Consultation Center
- Family Resource Centers
- Various Parenting Workshops
- Youth in Transition Program – This program is a transitional living program for homeless youth. It is designed for young adults ages 16 to 21, including pregnant and parenting teens, who are not part of the state system of care. The goal of this program is to successfully transition homeless youth to independent living.
- Bridge Youth Shelter – A 24-hour temporary shelter providing a safe, caring, and nurturing environment for 11- to 17-year-old adolescent girls in crisis.
