Seat Safety Checklist
* Follow the Law:
- Children must be in a rear facing car seat until they are at least one (1) year old
- A child must be a safety seat until they are over six (6) years old and over sixty (60) pounds
*ALWAYS read the instructions to both the child safety seat
and the automobile.

Every seat should have a label stating that the seat meets
Federal Motor Vehicle Standards (FMVSS 213).
*
If the child seat is installed in a car that is involved in
a car crash, the child seat should be replaced. Check with
your auto insurance agent and the seat manufacturer about
a replacement seat.
*
DON'T use a seat that is more than ten (1O) years old.
*
DON'T place a rear facing child seat in front of an air bag.
