Tree Maintenance and Removal
The Department of Public Works is responsible for trees located on town property and in the street rights-of-way. Our general policy is we do not take down healthy trees. We adhere to the common law and insurance industry standard which states if your tree or limb falls on our property, we are responsible for removing it. If our tree or limb falls on your property, you are responsible for removing it.
