December 6: Holiday Trip to New York |
Enjoy the annual “do-your-own-thing” trip to New York City. See a show, shop, have lunch. The bus leaves from Elmwood Community Center at 7:30 a.m. sharp and returns about 8:45 p.m. Register early! Call 561-8160 for seat availability and more information. |

December 6: Santa & Me at Elmwood Community Center |
Enjoy a snack, dance with Rudolph and Frosty and sit with Santa for a special keepsake photo. Kathye Flanagan will present holiday songs. The event is for children ages 1 ½ to 6 years of age (with an adult) and runs from 10:00 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. Call 561-8160 for ticket information. |

December 9: Hugs (Hartford Underwriters Giving Smiles) |
Santa and his elves will stop by the Elmwood Senior Center at 10:00 a.m. Join the sing-a- long and enjoy refreshments all in the holiday spirit. The free event is co-sponsored by West Hartford Health and Rehabilitation. Registration is required. Call 561-8180. |
| December 11: 18th Annual Holiday Fashion Show | Enjoy an elegant, catered, sit-down luncheon and a spectacular fashion show with senior models, door prizes and entertainment. The event is co sponsored by Atria Hamilton Heights, Health Net and Harborside Healthcare and runs from 11:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. at the Elmwood Senior Center. | December 19: Skate with Santa | Come to Veterans Memorial Skating Rink for a holiday skate with Mr. Ho Ho Ho himself! Each child will receive a gift from Santa. The event runs from 4:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. Call the rink at 521-1573 for admission information. |
| December 31: New Year’s Eve at VMSR | Join in the fun at Veterans Memorial Skating Rink as we ring in the New Year. There will be hats, horns and surprises as we count down to an early midnight. The event runs from 6:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Call 521-1573 for admission information. |
