The Town Manager is
appointed by the Town Council as the organization's Chief Administrative
Officer overseeing day-to-day operations of the West Hartford town government.
Responsibilities, as outlined in the Town Charter, include:
- executing all laws and ordinances that govern the town;
- recommending to Council the creation, consolidation or abolition
of administrative departments and offices;
- preparing and submitting an annual budget to the Town Council;
- preparing and printing of an annual Town report;
- keeping the Council fully advised as to the financial condition
of the town and appointment of all department heads and other officers
unless otherwise specified
