Registration Requirements In the State of Connecticut, if you are registered as Unaffiliated/Independent, you cannot vote in a party primary election. In order to vote, you must be registered in the party that is holding the primary. Change in Voter Registration Information Registration

Ballots The issuance of an absentee ballot is a two-step process. You may obtain an application at the Registrar of Voters Office or download and print an Absentee Ballot (en Español) application form. Once your application is processed by the Registrar of Voters' Office, it goes to the Town Clerk's Office and you will receive your ballot in the mail from the Town Clerk's Office. In order to receive an absentee ballot, you must have completed an application each time for every primary, referendum or election.
